Use these recommended practices to keep Resource Planning accurate, current, and easy to manage.
-
Save changes regularly: Select Save after assigning, scheduling, or adjusting work orders to ensure updates are committed to JD Edwards.
-
Review before saving: Confirm resource assignments, dates, and visible indicators before committing changes.
-
Use filters to reduce noise: Filter by branch, template, work order type, or resource type to focus on the work that needs attention.
-
Validate unsaved changes: Use the yellow visual indicator to identify assignments that have not yet been saved.
-
Refresh when needed: Use manual refresh when the planning board may not reflect the latest JD Edwards data.
-
Use Reset carefully: Reset discards the current user’s unsaved changes and returns the view to the last saved state.
-
Use Purge only when appropriate: Purge clears unsaved changes at the tenant level and should be used only when broader cleanup is required.
-
Confirm assignment settings: If Assignable Resources are not visible, confirm that Enable Assignments is selected under Branch Preferences.
