Assign an Assignable Resource to a Work Order

Purpose

Assign an assignable resource to the related operation on a work order.

Before you begin

Confirm that Enable Assignments is selected under Branch Preferences and that the assignable resource is visible. Under Assignments, Enable Assignments should be enabled, and the Assignment Resource Query Name should be populated with RAPS_GetAssignableResources.

Procedure


To assign an assignable resource to a work order:

  1. Select the assignable resource from the Assignable Resources panel.

  2. Drag the assignable resource to the target work order.

  3. Drop the resource onto the work order to assign it to the related operation.

  4. Open the work order details to confirm the assignable resource was added to the work order operation.

  5. Select Save to commit the change to JD Edwards.

Outcome

The assignable resource is added to the related work order operation after the change is saved.
