SCIM Provisioning

Overview

SCIM provisioning is an optional capability that becomes available once an Identity Provider (IdP) has been configured for a tenant. It enables automated provisioning of users and groups from the IdP into Cantara.

Provisioning tokens are tenant-level credentials required to establish the SCIM connection. Each token is scoped to a single tenant.

Key considerations

  • An IdP must be configured for the tenant before SCIM provisioning can be used.

  • Tokens are sensitive credentials and must be stored securely.

  • When revoked, any SCIM integration using the token will stop functioning immediately.
