Licenses

Overview

Licenses define the products, periods, and usage entitlements that allow a tenant to use the Cantara platform. Use the Licenses section of the Administration Console to register, manage, and monitor licenses for your tenant.

A tenant must have an active billing profile before licenses can be added.

Subscriptions and license tiers

A license is registered for a tenant and contains subscription and entitlement information, including the license name, renewal frequency, system-generated license ID, and any legacy license key.

Each license can include subscriptions for one or more products. A subscription defines the active period and the product the tenant is entitled to use.

Each product subscription uses a license tier to define the limits for that product, such as the user limit and transaction limit. A single license can include multiple product subscriptions, each with its own tier and limits.
