Add a Namespace

Purpose

Add a namespace to the Cantara Administration Console.

Before you begin

  • You have access to the Cantara Administration Console.

  • You have permission to manage namespaces.

  • A tenant must already exist.

Procedure

To add a namespace:

  1. Navigate to Namespaces.

  2. Click + Add Namespace in the top right of the Namespace list.

  1. Enter the following details:

Field

Description

Name

A unique name for the namespace. Must contain only letters, numbers, underscores (_), and dashes (-). Spaces and other special characters are not allowed.

Region

The hosting region for the namespace. Defaults to the tenant's assigned region. Select a region close to your environment that meets organisational data sovereignty requirements.

A namespace stores only configuration and logs; it does not store customer business data.

Select Save.

  1. Copy and securely store the Agent Signing Key.

NOTE: This key is only displayed once and cannot be retrieved. If lost, you must generate a new key.

  1. Select one of the following actions:

    • Reset Agent Key — Generate a new agent signing key.

    • Reset Service Key — Generate a new service key.

    • Delete Namespace — Permanently delete the namespace.

    • Cancel — Return to the Namespace Management screen.
