Purpose
Use MEP Security Management to review and validate security settings that control access to menus, configuration screens, branches, resources, and work orders across MEP.
Before You Begin

Confirm that your user profile menu includes access to the security settings you need to review.

Identify the user, role, or branch that needs to be reviewed.
Procedure
To review MEP security settings:

Open the user profile menu.

Select the security or configuration option to review, such as Branch Preferences, Branch Management, Filter Management, or Security Management.

Review the assigned role, branch access, and enabled permissions.

Update permissions or configuration settings only when authorized.
-
Save changes and validate the user experience in the affected MEP view.
Outcome
Users can access only the menus, branches, configuration options, and planning actions allowed by their assigned security permissions. Configuration changes are reflected in the applicable MEP views after validation.

Validate role, branch, and menu access after every security change.

Use least-privilege access when assigning configuration permissions.

Confirm branch defaults before troubleshooting blank Resource Planning or Scheduling views.
