Manage Scheduling Settings

Purpose

Use Scheduling to visualize and manage work order timing, duration, and resource availability across Calendar and Gantt layouts.

Before You Begin

  • Identify the work orders, branches, templates, or resources that need to be reviewed.

  • Confirm whether Calendar View or Gantt View is the preferred layout for the scheduling task.

Procedure

  1. Open Scheduling.

  2. Select the preferred view, such as Calendar or Gantt.

  3. Apply filters by branch, template, assigned resource, or other available criteria.

  4. Review scheduled work orders, dates, durations, and resource availability.

  5. Move or adjust work orders when permitted by security and scheduling rules.

  6. Select Save when changes need to be committed to JD Edwards.

Outcome

The scheduling view reflects the selected layout and applied filters. Permitted schedule adjustments are saved and synchronized with JD Edwards after the user commits the changes.

Tips

  • Use Calendar View for day-to-day schedule review and quick date-based planning.

  • Use Gantt View for longer-range planning, duration review, and overlap detection.

  • Confirm color indicators before editing a work order.

  • Check working day configuration if expected dates are unavailable or visually marked as non-working days.
