Logging

Purpose

The Logging screen displays audit transactions processed through Cantara components. Currently, only gateway audit transactions are available. As additional components are enabled, additional logging tabs will be added.

Logging is most useful for tracking specific transactions through a gateway interface, such as monitoring how many times an endpoint is called or investigating activity for a specific user during a specific time window.

Before you begin

  • At least one gateway must be configured and processing transactions.

  • You must have access to the Cantara Administration Console.

Procedure

To view gateway audit transactions:

  1. Navigate to Logging.
The Gateway Audit Transactions screen is displayed.

  2. Select the Namespace that you want to review.

  3. Specify the From and Thru date range, or select Now to use up until the current date and time.

  4. Optionally, filter by any of the following:

    • Environment

    • Username

    • Status

    • Path

  5. Click Search.

  • Results are returned in reverse chronological order (most recent first). This cannot be changed.

  • To load more records, click Load Next Page. Repeat as needed.

  • To sort results, click a column heading: Time Start, Status, Environment, or Path. Sorting applies only to the records currently loaded.

  • To clear all filters and start a new search, click Reset.
