Namespaces Overview

A namespace is a configuration set that defines an isolated environment within a platform. It conceptually represents a deployment context such as Production, Test, UAT, Training, allowing you to tailor environments to your needs.

Namespaces are dynamic, allowing you to create as many as required to suit different environments or regional needs. They enable you to manage and separate configurations so that environments remain distinct, controlled, and secure. For example, you can maintain separate namespaces for testing and production to isolate changes before deployment, reducing risk.

By segmenting resources within the same infrastructure, namespaces also help optimise resource allocation and simplify operational management. Each namespace is also tied to a specific region, determining where configuration data is stored and which data centers client systems connect to. This regional association is crucial for meeting data sovereignty requirements and ensuring optimal system performance based on geographic location.
