Adding a Server

The Cantara Administration Console is able to manage an Access Server once you define the connection details. Refer to the Cantara Access Server Installation Guide for instructions to deploy a new access server. The access server must be deployed and running prior to adding it to the administration console.

You can manage multiple Cantara Access Servers from a single administration console instance. To add a server please follow these steps:

To add a server
  1. Select the Servers node in the navigation panel.
  2. Click the Add Server button.
  3. Enter a Name for the server. The value for this field can be a maximum of 12 characters (no spaces). Valid characters include numbers, letters, and a dash (-).
  4. Enter the JD Edwards End Point that you want to associate with this server. If the application is installed on the same system as the JD Edwards server, enter the localhost name for the best performance.
  5. Enter the administration Username.
  6. Enter the administration Password.
  7. Click the Add Server button.
  8. The new server record is created. If the Cantara Access Server has not been activated or configured yet this will be shown in the side menu and summary information. Please see Configuring a Server on details on how to complete the server configuration.
