Refreshing Cache

The function, query and report definitions in your Cantara Access Server are stored in system memory to ensure optimal performance when responding to requests. If you have made changes to the component definition files directly rather than through the Cantara Administration Console, you will need to perform a cache refresh for the changes to be applied. Refreshing the cache triggers the Cantara Access Server to reload all of the functions, queries and reports into memory.    

Note

Edits and deletions you make to a single server in a clustered environment are not automatically pushed to the other servers. You must use the Refresh Cache feature to reflect these updates on the other servers.

Additions you make to a server in a clustered environment are automatically updated across all servers.

To refresh cache

1. Select the Servers node in the navigation panel.
2. Select a server.
3. Click the Refresh Cache button. All definitions are in now in sync.
