Installing the Cantara Access Server Web Application
Extracting the Cantara Access Server Archive
The Cantara Access Server is distributed as a .ZIP archive file that must be extracted prior to deployment on your web application. Extract the file into the appropriate folder on your web application server. Refer to Setting Up Cantara Access Server File System Folders for folder requirements and Setting up the Cantara Database if you are installing the Enterprise Edition.
Folder Permissions
Make sure the user that the web application server runs as has both read and write permissions to the application folder contents.
Installing the JD Edwards Interoperability Libraries
Once your application archive has been extracted, install the appropriate JD Edwards Interoperability java libraries for your Tools release. Refer to section 5.2 of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Interoperability Guide for your Tools release for the list of required files.
The following files are required for the 9.1.x Tools releases:
JD Edwards Library Files
- Base_JAR.jar
- JdeNet_JAR.jar
- jmxremote_optional.jar
- jmxri.jar
- ManagementAgent_JAR.jar
- System_JAR.jar
- xmlparserv2.jar
- xalan.jar (Weblogic 11G Only)
- xerces.jar (Weblogic 11G Only)
You must copy the library files into the WEB-INF/lib folder in the extracted application. The libraries can be sourced from any JD Edwards Client from within the System\Classes folder in the install directory.
Excluded JARs
Do not copy the commons-logging.jar, commons-httpclient-3.0.jar or log4j.jar libraries into the lib folder. These functions are handled by libraries that are already provided as part of the Cantara Access Server application.
With the exception of Oracle Weblogic, do not copy the xerces.jar or xmlparserv2.jar files to a web application server.
